The Pestana Dom Joao II is a beach hotel which offers a total of 247 rooms on 6 floors, of which 19 are suites. Located right by the beach area of the Algarve, with a wonderful view over the Atlantic, around 1 km outside the town of Alvor. Further sightseeing attractions include cities like Portimao, Lagos or Silves, which lie between 5 and 20 km away from the hotel. The Alvor Estuary, a major nature protection area for birds, is within easy reach of the hotel. Public transport departs from stops directly in front of the hotel.

Guests are provided with direct access to the beach. Facilities include a stylish lobby with lifts, safes, a currency exchange desk and a 24-hour reception.
