The Baia Cristal is an elegant hotel which is situated in an attractive panoramic location, on a hill overlooking a sandy beach. The centre of Carvoeiro is located around 2 km away and the beach is easily reached down a flight of steps that lies around 300 m from the hotel. Public transport departs from stops directly in front of the hotel. Plenty of shops, restaurants, bars and nightclubs are to be found around 1.7 km from the hotel.

Renovated in 2001, the hotel includes 118 rooms over 3 floors. The hotel's facilities include a lobby with a 24-hour reception, a safe, a currency exchange desk, a lift and a café. Additional facilities include a cocktail bar, a games room, a TV room and an air-conditioned restaurant with highchairs for children. A conference room and Internet access (for an added fee) are available for those staying on business. The bicycle hire and laundry services round off the facilities on offer (additional fees apply).
