Gorkem Hotel

The Gorkem Hotel, Ovacik, Turkey is a lovely little hotel set in a beautiful, spacious garden within the Ovacik area, near the overseas Jewel in the Crown office. When we last visited, the guests were enjoying the peaceful environment, broken only by the birds chirping in the trees!

The Gorkem Hotel swimming pool is of medium size with sunbeds and umbrellas, bordered on three sides by flowering pink and white flowers and trees. Sitting at the semi-circular bar you cannot help but admire the beautiful backdrop provided by the Babadag mountain range. The hotel has a full menu, a shaded restaurant area with TV, and is only a few minutes' walk away from the local dolmus and taxis.

The simple but comfortable hotel rooms are within the new block with en-suite shower & WC and all have a wrought-iron balcony except for the three ground-floor rooms, which have a terrace. Air-conditioning is available (payable locally). Safety deposit boxes are available for a small local charge.
